Q: Can 'eca3G' be used where there is no grounding?

Yes. 'eca3G' can protect electronic/communication systems from lightning without a grounding system. We have plenty of proven experience for unmanned TV relay stations, unmanned forest fire monitoring systems, hydro-power dam surveillance system, fire-fighting agency wireless communication systems in deep mountainous areas, and plenty of others. This is one of the strengths of 'eca3G' and a key of the US patent.

Q: How to check if 'eca3G' is running under normal operational status?

Q: What is the electricity consumption of 'eca3G'?

Around 100 kWh per year. At normal status, diagnosis system requires small consumption to be ready for response of surge detection, and 'eca3G' will use surge electricity to protect system for 0.3 second when the surge invades. 'eca3G' electric consumption is very minimal.

Q: If there are several pieces of equipment (such as a communication unit, monitoring unit, computer, etc.) in the base station, how many power distribution panels be installed?

Typically, there is one power distribution panel in the base station to supply power to all the pieces of equipment. One 'eca3G-LM' will be installed to connect to the DB and each piece of equipment. If there is a UPS, AVR or small transformer, 'eca3G-SM' will be installed for each. If some of the equipment use a different power source, 'eca3G-LP / LS' will be installed.
